Lapsang Souchong is the original Black Tea 红茶 that created 400 years before. It was first created in tongmu region 桐木关 with adequate moisture and fresh air, located in wuyishan city, Fujian province. Actually, only the tea farmers and invited visitors can be permitted to go into this area, which is a natural reserve with sufficient precipitation and sharp differences in temperature.
This policy aims to decrease the amount of man-made sabotage in order to keep the natural geographic environment for better growth of tea tress. For instance, a great amount of defoliation, the prefect fertilizer for tea plants, may be stepped excessively by the extra activity of the human beings. Without enough fertilizer, the tea trees may not grow too high to come into good-quality tea leaves. This is because the higher tea leaves picked, the more superior quality of black tea.
Hence, it is universally acknowledged that the best Lapsang souchong comes from tongmu region, which is also the supply place of our Yitea.
